Finding your Weaving Voice
Weavers are often either excited by the structure of weaving or the colours ways (and textures) that they create. During this two-day, round robin workshop, you will explore 6-7 weave structures and/or colour ways, allowing beginner and intermediate weavers a chance to explore the questions - what excites them as a weaver. You will be sent yarn for a warp and instructions for warping a portable loom (4 or 8 shaft) to bring ready for weaving to the workshop. Weave structures that that may be explored will include double weave, lace, shadow/echo, overshot, summer and winter, twill for colour and weave structures for texture.
A material fee will apply for premade warps and weft yarns or workshop organizers may opt to have students provide the warp and weft yarns.
